Yes. A written referral from a family physician or nurse practitioner is required. You will also need a valid health card from one of the Atlantic Canadian provinces.

Yes. All psychiatric consultations and follow-up visits are covered by MSI. There are no fees for covered services if you have a valid Nova Scotia health card.

Yes, though this is done on a case-by-case basis. A fee will apply in accordance with Doctors Nova Scotia guidelines. This will always be discussed with you in advance.

Out of respect for other patients and the value of scheduled time, I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. Missed appointments without notice will incur a no-show fee.

No. If you were referred to Dr. Corbett and your referral was accepted, you are still in the queue. The approximate wait-time for new patient appointments is currently ~6 months.

Our offices are located on the second floor of the building. While there is no elevator, we do have access to a wheelchair lift for patients who may need assistance.
If you require use of the lift, we kindly ask that you let us know in advance of your appointment, as we will need to coordinate with the building manager to obtain the key.
